By using Crux, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

Crux is an AI-powered advisor that helps you compare and choose workflow automation platforms like Zapier, Make, n8n, and others. It provides recommendations based on your use case, compares platform pricing and features, and offers tools like the AI Maturity Calculator.

Accounts

  • You log in with a magic link sent to your email. No passwords.
  • One person per account. Don't share your login links.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Crux.

Acceptable use

Use Crux for its intended purpose. Don't:

  • Circumvent rate limits or abuse the service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from Crux.
  • Use the service for anything illegal.
  • Attempt to access other users' conversations or data.
  • Interfere with the service's operation or infrastructure.

AI-generated content

This is important: Crux provides AI-generated recommendations, not professional advice.

  • Recommendations are generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies.
  • Platform pricing, features, and integration data is periodically updated but may not reflect the latest changes from each platform.
  • Always verify critical business decisions by checking official platform documentation and pricing pages directly.
  • Crux is a starting point for your research, not a substitute for it.

Crux is a for-profit service. Recommendations and research reports may include affiliate links to automation platforms. If you sign up for a platform through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence our recommendations. The AI advisor evaluates platforms based on your stated requirements, not on whether we have an affiliate arrangement with a given platform.

Content ownership

  • Your content. You own the conversations you have with Crux. You can delete them at any time.
  • Shared content. When you share a conversation or generate a research report link, you grant Crux a non-exclusive license to make that content publicly accessible to anyone with the link. Shared content may be indexed by search engines. Shared conversations and reports expire automatically after 120 days, after which they are no longer accessible.
  • Our content. Crux owns the service, the platform comparison data, the recommendation engine, and all associated intellectual property.
  • We may use anonymized, aggregated usage patterns to improve the service. We will not use your individual private conversations for AI model training or share them with third parties.

Communications

By creating an account, you agree that we may contact you at your registered email address for service-related notices (magic links, policy updates, account alerts) and occasional commercial communications (product updates, feature announcements, or business proposals related to workflow automation).

You can opt out of commercial communications at any time by replying to any email or contacting us. Service-related emails are necessary for account operation and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

Service changes

  • Crux is currently free to use. We earn revenue through affiliate commissions. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future with reasonable notice.
  • Rate limits exist to keep the service fair and available. We may adjust these limits.
  • AI advisor usage is subject to fair-use limits, including a cap of 150 advisor requests per 24-hour limit window per account, with fallback limits for anonymous access.
  • Attempts to evade fair-use limits or abuse the service may result in suspension or termination.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Liability

Crux is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Decisions you make based on Crux's recommendations.
  • Inaccuracies in platform data, pricing, or feature comparisons.
  • Service interruptions or data loss.
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

  • You can stop using Crux at any time and request account deletion.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
  • On termination, your right to use the service ends. Your conversation data will be deleted per our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make significant changes, we'll note the new date at the top of this page. For major changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you via the email address associated with your account.
